The
Wigamog Inn Resort is Ontario’s best destination
for people that want to explore and enjoy Winter.
Located on a major network of Nordic (cross- country)
ski trails, guests can access more than 200 km
of Nordic trails feature grooming for skate and
classic patterns, backcountry skiing. In addition,
many trails have warm-up shelters with stoves
and firewood along their trails. We also have
Dog Sledding outfitters waiting to take you on
a great expedition. Dogsled is also available
at the resort on Saturdays.
Nature is also very much a part of the area in
the winter as deer are regular visitors and are
quite often seen wandering around the property
or near the trails. So whether you want to snowshoe,
ski or take a skate on our pond rink there is
lots to do during Winter at the Wigamog.
Snowmobiling is “King” at the Wigamog
Inn Resort. The Haliburton Highlands boast 880
km of both private and public trails that take
sledders on an ever-changing experience: through
dense forests, over the hills of the Canadian
Shield, and along routes following lakes and waterways.
A highlight of the area is Haliburton and Wild
Life Reserve Private Snowmobile Trails. It was
recently rated by "Supertrax" magazine
as one of the top-10 snowmobiling destinations
in North America.
